We had our first rain of the fall this week -- it usually begins to rain regularly in early September -- and though today was clear, the sky was a crisp blue and it is now cool. A perfect day to go to a Harvest Festival in Dicomano, a town into the mountains from Florence, where whey were roasting barrels of chestnuts, serving up grilled sausages, and dispensing wine in tiny cups from a parade float pulled by a tractor. Lots of fun for everyone!
